  • AF FIELD UP TO 200 mT
  • TWO-AXIS TUMBLING OF SPECIMEN
lda5

General description

LDA5 – Laboratory Demagnetizer using Alternating field serves for a laboratory demagnetization of rock or soil samples. This advanced demagnetizer allows to use AF demagnetization fields from 1 to 200 mT, four rates of AF field decrease and three different courses of alternating field decrease to tailor demagnetization process with respect to user needs. All these parameters are controlled by user friendly control software LDA5.

Sample is fixed in special 2-axis tumbler, which provides semi-random rotation of the sample during demagnetization process or setting one of the 18 position for demagnetization in desired direction. Advanced control electronics gives very well defined amplitude and pure sinusoidal shape of alternating field. Triple mu-metal shielding serves for elimination of local magnetic fields, so it is not necessary to use such demagnetizer in low-field cage.

Optional attachment PAM1 allows to perform anhysteretic magnetization, partial anhysteretic magnetization and pulse magnetization.
